New apple painting

I'm working on a series of fruits and nuts. I love the richness of color and wonderful shapes.

Breakfast in Class

This was a painting done at the Juliette Aristides workshop this summer. I set up my breafast on the table next to the easel and went to work. In reality I bought two of everything because it took a couple of mornings to finish. It wouldn't have been the same if I didn't get to nibble on the raspberry scone as I worked.

Paintings for Kaewyn Galleries small works show

I'm working on a series of still life's for a gallery show of small works. They will take up to six of my pieces so I'm getting as many done as possible by mid November so I can choose the best of the group.

Some interesting personal growth, I'm a member of two critique groups and in both there has been quite a bit of discussion about choice of subject matter and developing a personal style and voice. I find this very thought provoking. How does one articulate artistic inspiration? I'll let you know if I fiqure it out.
