This morning I drew from a photo found in "Tasha Tudor's Garden". Such beautiful images in this book. When I don't have the patience to go looking for an object in the house to draw, photos from a good book work well as backup.
I find myself feeling the yearly case of the holiday blues. So many things I'd like to do and never enough time to do them. It's time to sit down and decide what really matters.

You do such beautifully 'finished' sketches... (mine rarely get to that level). So was this your morning 30 minutes time? or did you go for longer?
This sketch took about 45 minutes. That's about all the time I have before kids start waking up and asking the regular morning questions. Where's my backpack, can I have my lunch money, did you wash my gym clothes...
